Karachi (HRNW)- A 5-year-old child, Arif, died on the spot after being hit by a speeding water tanker in Manghopir on Monday. According to SSP West Tariq Elahi, the accident occurred due to the driver’s speed. The driver of the water tanker, Wazir Muhammad, hit the child while driving, as a result of which the innocent child succumbed to serious injuries.
After the incident, Manghopir police arrested the accused driver and also seized the water tanker used in the accident. The body of the deceased child was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for formalities.
SSP West said that the police took timely action and arrested the driver, and further investigation into the incident is underway.
