25 Streets Paved in New Karachi’s Sector 11-J as Chairman Muhammad Yousuf Announces Next Phase of Development

Karachi (HRNW)– Chairman of New Karachi Town Muhammad Yousuf announced the completion of the work of installing paver blocks in 25 streets in Sector 11-J and said that this journey of development is not over yet. In the next phase, street lights will be installed in the streets to improve the lighting and safety of the area.

Chairman Muhammad Yousuf said that several water and sewage projects have also been completed in the area and despite limited resources, great efforts have been made to provide maximum local government facilities to the people. UC Chairman 11 Ghazanfar Ali Khan, Vice Chairman Imran Shafiq, Town Standing Committee Chairman Imran Faqir and a large number of people were also present on the occasion.

Muhammad Yousuf said that Jamaat-e-Islami is in favor of an empowered and resource-rich local government system, because through it, the deteriorating situation of Karachi can be improved. He expressed regret that the citizens of Karachi are paying taxes at all levels but basic facilities are not available. Despite the severe water crisis in the city, water supply is affected in many areas.

The Chairman claimed that despite limited resources, exemplary development works have been done in New Karachi Town and the most development measures have been taken here compared to other towns in Karachi. He appealed to the Sindh government to bring the Water and Sewerage Corporation and the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board under the control of local government representatives so that better facilities can be provided to the people.

Muhammad Yousuf said that in the last two and a half years, clean water was provided to more than 20,000 homes in New Karachi Town by spending Rs. 90 million and the tanker mafia was defeated. He added that great efforts have also been made at the personal level for the installation of sewer lines, garbage collection and other local government services.

Finally, Chairman Muhammad Yousuf told the people of Sector 11-J that all these development works have been done with the tax money of the people, so it is the responsibility of the citizens to protect them. He announced that the construction of a modern and quality park will soon be started in Sector 11-J to promote recreation and healthy activities for the youth and the public.

At the end of the ceremony, the residents of the area expressed satisfaction and happiness while appreciating the development works.
