Lahore (HRNW)- A dangerous incident occurred in Valencia Town when a kite string got stuck in the neck of 10-year-old Mustafa Effendi. The incident took place at around 5 pm last evening, after which the injured child was rushed to the hospital. After medical assistance, the child was out of danger by evening and was discharged.
Taking strict notice of the incident, DIG Operations Faisal Kamran has directed that the kite flyers be identified with the help of Safe City cameras and the responsible ones be brought to justice.
He also directed to further intensify the crackdown against illegal kite flying across the city and said that kite flying is completely prohibited except on the specified dates. The DIG said that violation of the Kite Flying Act is a life-threatening crime and officers who do not implement the ban under the zero tolerance policy will also be held accountable.
