Sindh Excise Department foiled an attempt to smuggle 660 kg charas to Karachi

Karachi (HRNW)- In a successful operation, Sindh Excise Department has foiled an attempt to smuggle large quantity of charas from Balochistan to Karachi. According to details, Assistant Excise & Taxation Inspector Zia ul Islam along with his team during search of suspicious truck number TKQ-523 at Excise Check Post near Agricultural College Jacababad and found 660 kg of charas hidden in its hidden compartments. While one accused Samiullah was arrested. The arrested accused is said to be a resident of Qila Abdullah. A case has been registered against the accused and investigation has been started. Provincial Minister for Excise & Taxation and Narcotics Control & Parliamentary Affairs Mukesh Kumar Chawla, Secretary Excise & Taxation and Narcotics Control Abdul Haleem Sheikh and Director General Excise & Taxation and Narcotics Control Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui have congratulated over successful operation and expressed hope that Sindh Excise Department officials will continue their operations against drug dealers with the same diligence and dedication. Provincial Minister Mukesh Kumar Chawla added that the seizure of 660kg of charas was a great achievement and drug dealers would be discouraged at all levels.
