PM Imran takes notice of lack of safety measures for medical staff

ISLAMABAD (HRNW) – Prime Minister Imran Khan took notice of lack of safety measures for doctors and paramedical staff and sought a comprehensive plan for ensuring safety of medical staff.

PM Imran Khan, while taking notice of concerns of doctors and other paramedical staff after their colleagues contracted the deadly virus, has sought a comprehensive plan from National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to ensure protection of medics.

It is pertinent to mention here that there is a feeling of insecurity among medical staff who expressed concerns after several doctors died of coronavirus while treating patients of the novel virus.

According to statistics of Health Department, as of May 28, 17 healthcare professionals have lost their lives while 1,904 members of medical staff have tested positive for COVID-19.
