Doubling of the plots in Housing Societies will not be tolerated:Jam Ikramuallah Dharejo

Karachi (HRNW) Sindh minister for Industries and Commerce & Cooperative Department Jam Ikramuallah Dharejo has said that strict action will be taken against those who are found involved in doubling of the plots in Housing Societies.
This he said while presiding over a meeting of Cooperative Department here in his office on Thursday. Secretary Cooperative Department Akhtar Inayat Burghari, Registrar Sohail Baloch, MD Aijaz Khatri and other officers also attended the meeting.
Provincial Minister Jam Ikramuallah Dharejo was given a detailed briefed on Cooperative Societies Act and other related issues. While addressing the meeting, Sindh minister for Industries and Commerce & Cooperative Department Jam Ikramuallah Dharejo directed to make certain amendments in Society Act 1925 because a number of complaints were being received on doubling of the plots in Housing Societies and the people were facing hardship in this regard. He asked the officers concerned to make amendments to facilitate the people.
He warned them that he would take severe action against those officers, who would fail to produce good results. He also directed to ensure elections in Housing Societies and all the issues should be resolved on merit as he did not want any corruption or malpractices in the department. Jam Ikramuallah Dharejo asked the officers to submit audit reports on regular basis and improve the monitoring system as well.
