PCG seizes a huge quantity of Hashish from Uthal city

Karachi (HRNW)-Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) seized a huge quantity of Hashish from Uthal city and contraband items at Naka Khari Check Post (Uthal) and on RCD Highway near Windar (Balochistan).
On the special instructions of DG Pakistan Coast Guards Brigadier Saqib Qamar about zero tolerance in the smuggling of Narcotics, PCG has intensified its efforts to curb the menace of drug trafficking from its area of responsibility. On credible information from intelligence resources about the smuggling of narcotics in general area Uthal, and on RCD Highway, Following seizures were carried out by PCG Special Mobile Patrol.
1. Mobile patrol PCG officials stopped a suspicious Truck loaded with apple crates in Uthal city. On searching the Truck, PCG officials recovered approx 193 kilograms of fine quality of Hashish hidden in apple crates.
2. On Naka Khari Check Post (Windar), PCG officials seized contraband items,
3,285 Kgs Betel Nut, 920 pkts Indian Gutka, 685 pkts Naswar, 76 Bags China salt, 17 Tyre and Curtain cloth.
3. Karachi, during checking a coach, PCG recovered 30 Bore Pistol with
2x Magazines from a passenger travelling from Swat to Kci on Super Highway.
4. In Gwadar, Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) officials also apprehended 05 Pakistani illegal immigrants on account of illegal border crossing. The individuals were proceeding to Iran without valid documents.
Approx value of contraband items and Hashish in the market is Rs. 222.16 Millions.
Further investigation and legal process is under way.
