Karachi (HRNW): Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Wednesday said that hot weather is likely to prevail in Karachi from April 22 to April 25 (Friday to Monday), HRNW reported.“Due to a high pressure cell, the winds will take turn from southwesterly to northwesterly gradually which will bring hot and dry air mass to Karachi and other coastal areas cutting the sea breeze,” PMD said.

“Day temperatures will gradually increase on Friday from 38C to 40C on Sunday and then it will start decreasing attaining the normal level on Wednesday. Winds will start blowing from the sea restoring the sea breeze,” it said.

Mainly hot & dry weather is expected in most parts of the country However rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds is expected at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara, FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Next 48 hrs:

Mainly hot & dry weather is expected in most parts of the country.

However rain-thunderstorm is expected at scattered places in upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Lahore divisions), upper KP (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan divisions), Islamabad, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir on Thursday (evening/night).

Rain-thunderstorm with gusty/ dust raising winds occurred at isolated places of Malakand, Hazara, upper Punjab and Zhob division.
